Bahath.ai ("we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered hadith search app available on iOS and the web. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. We do not sell your data, display ads, or share your information with third-party advertisers.

Data We Collect

• Email Address — collected when you create an account. Used solely to authenticate you via a one-time passcode (OTP). We do not send marketing emails.
• Search Queries — the hadith questions you type into the app. These are sent to our backend API to return search results. For signed-in users, queries are saved as conversation history tied to your account so you can revisit past searches.
• Saved Hadiths — hadiths you bookmark are stored in your account in our database.
• Feedback — if you submit feedback through the app, the text of your message is stored. Feedback is not linked to your identity unless you choose to include identifying information in your message.

Guest users (not signed in) can use the search functionality without creating an account. Search queries submitted by guest users are still transmitted to our backend to return results and may be logged for the purpose of improving the app. No email address or account identity is associated with guest queries.

How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate your account and keep it secure
• To save and display your conversation history and bookmarked hadiths
• To process your search queries and return relevant hadith results
• To improve the app based on usage patterns and feedback

We do not use your data for advertising, tracking, or profiling purposes.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Your email and account data are stored on Supabase servers.
• OpenAI — your search queries are processed by OpenAI's API to understand intent and generate responses. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to data sent to their API.
• Stripe — if you choose to donate, you are redirected to Stripe's website. We never see or handle your payment information.

Data Retention

Your account data and conversation history are retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To make a request, contact us at support@bahath.ai.
